Real-time traffic info on GPS

SINGAPORE - Real-time traffic information for motorists' through their Global Positioning System (GPS) devices to help them avoid congested roads.

This is one benefit that would be reaped from the Traffic Message Channel Location Table (TMC-LT), technology that was launched yesterday by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

The Galactio navigation device - developed by Quantum Inventions in collaboration with the LTA - is the first gadget to use the technology here.
