More S'poreans are obese

SINGAPOREANS are losing the battle of the bulge with one in 10 - or 10.8 per cent of the population - being obese, up from 6.9 per cent in 2004, according to the latest National Health Survey.

The growing obesity can be blamed on two main factors - Singaporeans are not exercising enough and not eating properly.

The bad news comes despite many efforts over the years to promote healthy living through exercise and proper diet. LINK
