SINGAPORE'S Young Lions pulled off a major surprise when they held 2006 Asian Games champions Qatar to a goalless draw at the Yingdong Stadium in Guangzhou on Sunday night.
Qatar, ranked 109th in the Fifa world rankings, were largely expected to cruise to an easy victory against Singapore (127th) but were sluggish at best and failed to dominate.
The Young Lions will meet 1998 silver medallists Kuwait on Tuesday. Their final group game is against India on Nov 11. LINK
