Police have arrested a 35-year-old man believed to be responsible for at least 10 cases of thefts of car parts islandwide.
He had smashed car windows and stole the engine control units, valued at between $2,000 and $4,000.
Officers from Bedok and Jurong Police Divisions managed to identify the suspect and he was arrested at the Woodlands Checkpoint on Saturday.
The man will be charged in court today for theft of motor vehicle parts.
If convicted, he can be jailed up to seven years, and fined.
