Chamakh in a hurry as Arsenal down Wolves
WOLVERHAMPTON - MAROUANE Chamakh scored Arsenal's fastest ever Premier League goal and added a late second to maintain Arsene Wenger's hoodoo over Mick McCarthy.

Chamakh's header after thirty-seven seconds and an injury time strike was enough to secure Arsenal's first win in three games and condemn Wolves to their fifth successive defeat against the Gunners.

Chelsea extend lead
LONDON - CHELSEA extended their lead at the top of the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over local rivals Fulham as the Manchester derby failed to live up to expectations.

A Michael Essien goal after half an hour saw Chelsea bounce back from Sunday's defeat to Liverpool.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side were unable to break down an obdurate City side and slipped four points behind leaders Chelsea as a result.

Blackpool boss Holloway in quit threat
BIRMINGHAM, United Kingdom (AFP) - Ian Holloway claims he will resign as Blackpool manager if the Premier League fine his club after he fielded a weakened team in the 3-2 defeat against Aston Villa.

"I am the manager of Blackpool Football Club and I select people to come to the club and play them whenever I want... Let them try and fine me, it's an absolute disgrace. I'll show the Premier League. We were a credit to football, and let the Premier League try to tell me otherwise."

Moyes pleased as Beckford proves a point
LIVERPOOL (AFP) - Everton manager David Moyes saluted Jermaine Beckford after the out-of-form striker opened his Premier League account for the Toffees to snatch a 1-1 draw against Bolton.

Beckford, who has struggled to find his feet at Everton since joining from Leeds in the summer, pounced deep into injury time to give Moyes' men a share of the points at Goodison Park.
