Impersonations of its officers prompt NEA review

The National Environment Agency (NEA) is reviewing inspection protocols to ensure it is not taken advantage of by would-be criminals.

Recently, six men impersonated NEA officers and robbed a member of the public. NEA said it took a serious view of the incident and will work with the police to prevent repeat incidents.

The agency said officers assigned the task of inspecting residential premises will be dressed in white uniforms bearing the NEA logo and blue trousers, with a name tag. They usually work in pairs.

white shirt... blue trousers... but no NEA logo and nametag
this guy is NOT a NEA officer

An officer will also identify himself to residents by producing a card issued by NEA. Members of the public should verify the identity of any person claiming to be an NEA officer against the card before allowing the officer onto their premises. SOURCE
