AMK-YCK town council looks into freak fatal accident

Madam Kong Kim Hoe, 73, never regained consciousness after her fall at Block 728, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6, on July 31. She was taken to the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and died four days later. Doctors said she suffered severe head injuries.

The family said a railing at the staircase was partially blocked by a pillar and has urged the town council to look into the matter. They suggested an additional railing be built in the middle, which a person on walking stick could use with either hand. MORE
