Public transport takes a hit

CUSTOMER satisfaction in Singapore's public transport system - in particular for the trains and buses here - has taken a hit.

According to the latest quarterly figures released by the Singapore Management University's Institute of Service Excellence (ISE) on Wednesday, the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) for the Mass Rapid Transit system fell to 64.1 points in the last few months, down from 67 last year.

The CSI for public buses fell to 61.1, down 1.8 points from 2009.
