Sundram to coach Tampines Rovers

Former LionsXII coach V Sundramoorthy will take the helm of local football club Tampines Rovers as the head coach for the upcoming S.League season. 

The ex-national player will take over the reins from his former team mate Rafi Ali.

During a chat with Channel NewsAsia's SportsWorld, former national football team striker Aleksander Duric on Friday (Dec 5) revealed that Sundram would be the head coach of the Stags, while he would be the assistant coach.

"Honestly, I have been doing some preparation because I am going to be the assistant and fitness coach of Tampines Rovers, so I am just getting some stuff ready for my team," said the footballer who retired in October.

Channel NewsAsia understands that an official announcement will be made on Dec 16. Sundram had previously led the LionsXII to a Malaysia Super League title in 2013. 

He joined Malaysia Premier League club Negeri Sembilan late last year, but has since parted ways with them.
