More than 6,000 athletes will compete across 12 sports at the second Singapore National Games, which was officially launched on Saturday (Nov 1).
Marking the start of the nine-day event was a mass run around the National Stadium.
The games will be held mainly at the Singapore Sports Hub. It allows aspiring athletes to compete up to national level, and creates pathways to nurture school athletes.
The games include sports such as table tennis, sepak takraw, swimming and dragon boat among others and will end on Nov 9.
