Man in Ang Mo Kio murder case charged

A 40-year-old Singaporean, allegedly involved in the murder of a woman at Ang Mo Kio earlier this week, was charged in court on Saturday morning (Nov 22).

Lim Hou Peng, Jackson, was charged with causing the death of 32-year-old Tran Cam Ny.

Police found the woman dead in a ninth-floor flat at Block 406, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 on Thursday (Nov 20).

She was found lying motionless in the flat when police arrived. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Lim was ordered to be remanded for psychiatric assessment, and will face the court again on Dec 12. If convicted, he will face the maximum death penalty.
