A fence at SMRT's Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot was found cut open on Thursday night (Nov 13).

An SMRT spokesman said that there was no breach into the depot's perimeter fence.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) also said there was no unauthorised entry into the bus depot.

"The perimeter fencing of the two bus depots are still intact, and there was no unauthorized entry into the depots. SMRT reported the incident to the police, who are investigating," an LTA spokesperson said in a statement.

The police said that they received a call requesting assistance at 8.10pm on Thursday night. Upon arrival, the police established that it was a case of mischief, and that investigations are ongoing.

At 8.30am on Friday morning (Nov 14), an SMRT fence adjacent to the SBS bus depot was found patched up, and police were also at the scene.

Further checks found that the hole in the fence leads to a second fenced-up area between the SBS and SMRT bus depots.

Channel NewsAsia understands that no one has been arrested for the incident.
