On Saturday (Nov 8), troops from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) conducted a bilateral ship-to-shore exercise as part of the annual Exercise Wallaby conducted at the Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland.

This year's Exercise Wallaby marks the 24th year the SAF troops are training in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area. MINDEF said it signifies the close and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and Australia.

Meanwhile, Australia's Assistant Minister for Defence, Stuart Robert said he was impressed with the SAF troops' performance.

"It is a well-trained, well disciplined, quite amazing fighting force. And watching some of the exercises they have done today, I'm amazed with how well it's going," he said.
