Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for allegedly trespassing a number of houses in the vicinity of Woodlands Drive 14.
The police was first notified on Oct 5 by a home occupant who had noticed the suspect’s presence in the home but he fled as the occupant shouted for help.
Officers from Jurong Police Division managed to get an image of the suspect from one of the police cameras at the vicinity and were then able to establish the identity of the suspect.
The accused was arrested on Oct 28 for house trespassing. He was believed to be involved in at least 10 similar cases. In some of them, he was believed to have outraged the modesty of the female occupants.
He will be charged in court on Thursday (Oct 30) with house trespassing and outraging the modesty of a woman.
If found guilty of house trespassing, he can be jailed for up to a year and/or fined up to S$3,000. If found guilty of outraging the modesty of a woman, he can be fined, caned and jailed for up to two years.
