Police arrested a 42-year-old man on Wednesday (Oct 29) for his suspected involvement in a series of loanshark harassment cases.
Between Oct 24 and 26, police received multiple reports of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) found to have been splashed with paint.
Debtors' notes, believed to be related to loanshark harassment, were found on the ATMs.

Police arrested the suspect on Wednesday in an operation carried out in the vicinity of Syed Alwi Road. A mobile phone, a pair of gloves and a mask were seized as case exhibits during the operation.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is believed to be responsible for other loanshark harassment cases that targeted debtors' vehicles and residential units.
The suspect will be charged in court on Friday. If found guilty, he can be jailed for up to five years, and/or be fined between S$5,000 and S$50,000. He could also face caning.
