The Singapore Sports Hub has rolled out a new parking system for events at its arenas.

Only pre-sold parking tickets will be available for events at the 55,000-seater National Stadium.

Holders of the tickets - costing $10.70 each - will be ushered to designated carparks at the Sports Hub. The tickets are valid for 24 hours from 7am on the event day.

The Sports Hub's novel traffic management system will face its first test on the evening of June 28, when some 37,000 visitors in total are expected to attend three simultaneous events.

To cover these events, 1,800 pre-sold parking tickets will be available from Monday.

More tickets could be sold in future if the open-air carparks outside Leisure Park Kallang are open. Only official coaches can be parked there on June 28.

Motorists who do not buy the pre-sold parking tickets will not be allowed into Stadium Drive, a new road that circles the National Stadium.

For those who do not drive, there are three MRT stations near the Sports Hub - Stadium, Mountbatten and Kallang. The Kallang station is linked by a 600m-long sheltered walkway to the third storey of the National Stadium.

Visitors can get live traffic updates specific to their event on the Sports Hub website. Information will also be sent out on the Sports Hub's social media feeds on Twitter and Facebook.

The pre-sold parking tickets can be bought on the Sports Hub website (www.sportshubtix.sg) as well as at Singapore Post outlets.
