The Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) is eyeing more tie-ups with various bodies to boost its pool of talent.
It plans to field 100 athletes when Singapore hosts the ASEAN Para Games in 2015. This is about double the number heading to Myanmar for this month's Games.
There was a sending-off ceremony for 52 disabled athletes at Changi Airport on Saturday evening.
President of the SDSC Mohan Menon told Channel NewsAsia that discussions are underway with hospitals, rehabilitation centres as well as both mainstream and special needs schools.
If successful, the tie-ups will be similar to the one struck with the Cerebral Palsy Centre last year.
Assoc Prof Menon insisted there is no medal target for Singapore at the Games. But he hopes the athletes will put in a strong showing.
