Everton bring McGeady back to Britain
Republic of Ireland international winger Aiden McGeady has joined Everton from Spartak Moscow, the Premier League club announced on Saturday.

The 27-year-old former Celtic player arrives for an undisclosed fee and has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract, having spent a little over three years in the Russian capital.

McGeady was presented to Everton's fans prior to their 2-0 home win over Norwich City at Goodison Park on Saturday.

A short, skilful wide player, McGeady spent six years at Celtic, during which time he won four Scottish Premier League titles, two Scottish League Cups and two Scottish Cups.

He also proved a success at Spartak following his 9.5 million pounds (US$15.6 million, 11.4 million euros) transfer from Celtic in 2010, helping them to a second-place finish in the Russian Premier League in 2012.

His move to Goodison Park sees him link up with Irish international team-mates Seamus Coleman, James McCarthy and Darron Gibson.

Cardiff sign Norwegian teenager Daehli
Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced on Saturday that he has signed 18-year-old Norwegian midfielder Mats Moller Daehli from his previous club Molde.

Daehli, who has signed for an undisclosed fee, was previously on the books with Manchester United when Solskjaer was working as a youth coach there.

His arrival follows that of countryman Magnus Wolff Eikrem, who joined Cardiff from Dutch club Heerenveen earlier this week.

Daehli, who is a Norway international, said his desire to work with Solskjaer again had drawn him to the Cardiff City Stadium.

Solskjaer, who played for Molde himself before joining United in 1996, was appointed as the successor to Malky Mackay at Cardiff last week.
