President's Star Charity raises over S$5.16m

This year's President's Star Charity raised over S$5.16 million in total from corporate donors, tele-polls and online donations.

Themed "It's the little things", it aims to encourage Singaporeans to get involved and do their part in helping the less-fortunate.

The live show aired on October 20 on MediaCorp Channel 5 featured a slew of song, dance and music items by local and international stars. Some performers included British singer-songwriter Rick Astley, and finalists from the reality singing competition "The Final 1".

Also present at the live show were the footballers from MediaCorp's reality show, First XI.
