Police arrest serial Bkt Timah housebreaker in AMK

Police have arrested a 59-year-old man who is believed to be involved in several cases of housebreaking in Bukit Timah.

Since early February 2013, police have received several reports of break-ins at private residential premises in the vicinity of Bukit Timah.

Tanglin Police Division set up a task force to apprehend the suspect.

Through extensive enquiries and investigative follow-ups, the identity of the suspect was established and he was arrested on Apr 6, 2013 in the vicinity of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the ,an is believed to be involved in at least 3 cases of housebreaking and theft.

If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to 10 years.
