SMRT train and bus service hours extended for CNY Eve

SMRT has announced that its bus and train service hours will be extend for the Chinese New Year (CNY) countdown that starts on Feb 9, and that these services will run through to 3.25am on Feb 10.

The last eastbound and westbound trains will depart Outram Park station at 2.22am on Feb 10. Communters on the last eastbound train will be able to catch the connecting trains to the Circle Line at Paya Lebar Interchange, and for the last northbound train at Raffles Place Interchange. Train services will terminate at Tai Seng and Mountbatten, and Woodlands respectively.

Westbound commuters will also be able to catch the last connection to the Circle Line at Bouna Vista Interchange, where service will end at Pasir Panjang and Botanic Gardens, and the last southbound train at Jurong East Interchange, where train service will end at Woodlands.

Commuters at Choa Chu Kang interchange can connect to the last Bukit Panjang LRT train at 3.17am, added SMRT.

Those taking connecting feeder bus services will be able to do so till as late as 3.25am on Feb 10. The services include services 173A, 189A, 941, 945 and 947 at Bukit Batok, which will run up to 3.25am; services 300, 302 and 307 at Choa Chu Kang, which will run till 3.20am; service 859A at Sembawang which will run till 3.10am; services 901, 911, 912 and 913 at Woodlands which will run till 3.12am; and services 804 and 813 at Yishun, which will run till 3.15am.

SMRT also announced that bus services 61, 190, 851, 961 and 970 will be temporarily diverted on Feb 9 from 5pm to Feb 10 3am due to road closures for the CNY Countdown celebrations.
