Underwater World Singapore (UWS) at Sentosa will be bringing back rates of the 1990s to boost visitor numbers during the school holidays.
The island attraction announced on Tuesday that it will be slashing ticket prices to $15 for the period of December 1-31.
The discounted rate applies to Singaporeans and local residents only.
Currently, it charges $25.90 for adults, $20.80 for seniors and $17.60 for children.
On top of that, UWS is throwing in an added perk. It will allow paying visitors to bring a child or senior citizen in for free.
For example, an adult who pays $15 doesn't have to pay for the entry of a child, giving that visitor 65 per cent in entry fee savings.
The usual price for both would have been $43.50.
Similarly, an adult who pays $15 in the entry fee can also bring one senior citizen in for free and enjoy up to 68 per cent in savings.
The initiative is to encourage family bonding time over interactive programmes such as the baby shark feeding activity at the UWS.
