A netizen is appealing for witnesses to an alleged hit-and-run accident that happened last Saturday at around 7.30am.

A red Honda Civic hit a silver Lancer on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) heading towards Changi near Anak Bukit flyover, after the Upper Bukit Timah exit.

In the Facebook message to AsiaOne, the netizen said the red car was swerving in and out of the three lanes repeatedly before it "aggressively hit the Lancer".

The red Honda was travelling on the Lancer's left when it attempted to cut into the Lancer's lane. The Honda then allegedly slammed into the Lancer.

The impact caused the Lancer to hit the centre divider before it was forced back on the expressway leaving it severely damaged, said the netizen.

"By then, the red Honda had sped off."
