A full house at the Jalan Besar Stadium brought back strains of the old Kallang Roar as the LionsXII beat Pahang 2-0 to turn around a 2-1 deficit from the first leg of the Malaysia Cup.

Lions coach V Sundramoorthy admits crowd support was critical in the Lions' attacking game against Pahang.

He now wants the diehard fans to return in large numbers at the same venue when the team play Angkatan Tentera Malaysia or ATM in the first leg of the Malaysia Cup semi-finals this Friday.

But even with the 7,500 fans cheering and urging the side on to that 2-0 win, Sundram still has a few concerns. Players were still missing easy striking opportunities and leaving it a tad too late to seal victory.

Against ATM, his boys will need to be sharper as their opponents have six Malaysian internationals in the squad.
