A woman who was on the ledge of an HDB block in Compassvale Bow was rescued by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers on Friday.

The SCDF received the call for assistance at about 5.50pm on July 6 and deployed a support vehicle, along with a fire engine and red rhino to the location of the incident at Block 264B.

An off-duty RazorTV staff member who witnessed the incident said he saw the woman standing on the edge of the block before she was rescued by the officers.

A rescue net was deployed from the 5th floor while a lifepack was set up on the ground floor.

DART rescuers were then deployed and they brought her to safety.

However, she refused to be sent to the hospital after she was assessed by a SCDF paramedic.
