Teacher tells girl to 'cut wrists deeper'

A Taiwanese Physical Education (PE) teacher might have gone a little too far with her attempt at reverse psychology when she ‘encouraged’ a student to cut deeper into her wrists.

The high school student had skipped class and hid in a classroom to cut her wrists, reported Chinese citizen journalism site, ChinaSmack.com

The PE teacher caught her in the middle of the act and sarcastically told her, “Is it fun to cut yourself? Shouldn’t cutting your wrist make you bleed? If you have any guts then cut it deeper!”

The school has come to say that the teacher’s response might not have been well thought of and she has apologised to the student.

ChinaSmack also reported Taiwan’s head of the Humanistic Education Foundation Feng Qiaolan saying, “The reverse psychology rationalisation is simply an excuse for the abusing of students, she’s not qualified to be a teacher”.
