Singapore sports fans can share their support for their national athletes with ESPN STAR Sports' "My Country, My Cheer" Facebook application.

The application is hosted on www.facebook.com/espnstarsports and enables visitors to post words of encouragement for their Olympic Games representatives.

Visitors to the Facebook page can navigate to the "My Country, My Cheer" app, where they will land on their country page, which features a visual made up of "pixels".

There, they can pick one of the pixels from the visual, on which they can post their well wishes.

Users can also share their cheer on their individual Facebook walls, invite their friends to participate and tweet about it.

They stand to win exclusive prizes for writing the most creative and passionate cheer.

Prizes include exclusive Games lapel pins, caps and T-shirts. Winners will be announced daily, and will be notified via e-mail.

ESPN STAR Sports will be broadcasting the first ever coverage of the Games' Opening Ceremony in 3D, on ESPN 3D (SingTel mioTV ch144) tomorrow at 4am.
