Harry Redknapp could be prepared to take over as the new coach of Russia, according to the former Tottenham manager's agent.
Redknapp, who was relieved of his duties with Spurs last month, has been named on a 13-man shortlist drawn up by the Russia Football Union (RFU) as it searches for a new boss.
The RFU statement read: "The Russian Football Union has officially informed that the organisation plans to consult, in full compliance with the rules of FIFA and UEFA, the appointment of the head coach of Russian national team, with the following experts: Rafael Benitez, Anatoliy Byshovets, Marcelo Bielsa, Valery Gazzaev, Josep Guardiola, Fabio Capello, Andrei Kobelev, Yuri Krasnozhan, Marcello Lippi, Valery Nepomnyashchy, Nikolai Pisarev, Harry Redknapp, Yuri Semin."
Dick Advocaat stepped down from the post following their elimination from Euro 2012 as they crashed out at the group phase following a shock defeat to Greece in their final fixture.
The 65-year-old Redknapp was hotly tipped for the England job before the Football Association turned to Roy Hodgson, and may be prepared for a surprise new challenge.
