A fire broke out at one of the food courts in Singapore Polytechnic at around 12.30pm today.
A student who reported the incident to online citizen journalism website Stomp said that the fire broke out at Food Court 4.
Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel were also seen at the scene with fire fighting equipment.
Many students who witnessed thick smoke rising from the building also took to online social media sites Twitter and Instagram with pictures of the blaze.
According to the SCDF, the blaze, which started at 12.57pm involved a food stall exhaust duct.
The was put out within 10 minutes and no one was injured.
