Tuesday's Malaysia Super League Results
Felda United 0-2 LIONSXII
Johor FC 3-2 PKNS FC
Selangor 1-3 Negri Sembilan
Kedah 1-1 T-Team
Malaysia Super League leaders LIONSXII bounced back from last Saturday's loss to Kelantan with a 2-0 win at Felda United on Tuesday evening.
Shaiful Esah gave V. Sundramoorthy's men the lead just after the half-hour mark when his freekick from the right made its way into the back of the net after an error in judgment by Felda custodian Hamsani Ahmad, before Shahdan Sulaiman wrapped the points up when he fired home in the 76th minute after good play from Yasir Hanapi.
The win saw the LIONSXII move five points clear at the top of the table, although Kelantan look certain to claw away at that deficit with the four games they now have in hand.
Elsewhere, Johor FC picked up a valuable three points in their bid to stave off relegation after beating PKNS FC 3-2 at the Pasir Gudang Corporation Stadium, courtesy of an Arthuro Bernhardt hat-trick.
The Bees went behind after Mohd Norhakim Hassan opened the scoring, but they equalised through their Brazilian import from the spot, before he gave them the lead with a fiercely-struck freekick.
PKNS levelled the score when Dawood Nicoise smashed home an effort, but there was to be no denying Arthuro as he fired home another freekick to give the hosts the win.
Selangor fell to a 3-1 loss at home to Negri Sembilan after a Firdaus Azizul strike and a brace from Shakir Ali gave the visitors a commanding lead, before Bosko Balaban grabbed a late consolation for the hosts.
Finally, Kedah and T-Team played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the Darul Aman Stadium. Vedran Gerc had given Hijau-Kuning the lead a minute after the restart, but Fadzil Shaari found the back of the net in the 58th minute to steal a share of the spoils for the visitors.
