Malaysia Super League champions Kelantan and Indonesian giants Arema both recorded wins in AFC Cup Group H on Tuesday to seal their progress to the knockout round.

Kelantan only needed a draw against Ayeyawady United to sew up top spot in the group but made sure of matters by recording a 1-0 victory over their Burmese opposition, courtesy of Onyekachi Nwoha's 47th-minute winner.

Remarkably, they were joined in the knockout round by Arema, who completed a stunning comeback after picking up just one point from their opening four games.

The Indonesia Premier League side beat Navibank Saigon 6-2 on Tuesday to force a three-way tie for second place, but a better head-to-head record saw them advance.

Over in Group G, Chonburi saw off Home United 2-1 in a battle for top spot to secure home advantage in their one-legged Round of 16 tie, while Citizen beat Yangon United 2-1 to condemn their Burmese opponents to a bottom-placed finish.

Elsewhere, Al Wehdat, who were already certain to finish top of Group D, fell to a 4-2 defeat to third-placed Al Oruba while runners-up Neftchi Farg'ona beat basement boys Salgaocar 3-0.

Finally in Group C, Al Ettifaq recorded a 3-1 win at Al Ahed to finish top while Al Kuwait booked their spot in the knockout round with a 7-1 thumping of VB.
