Man Investigated for Making a False Police Report of Armed Robbery

Police are investigating a 32-year-old man for making a false report to the Police.

The suspect lodged a police report at Eunos Neighbourhood Police Post alleging that he was robbed at knife point by two men along Bedok Reservoir Rd on 21 April 2012 at about 8.00pm. Cash amounting to $1700 was taken away from him.

The suspect had hoped that by providing a police report to the bank, his instalment repayment to the bank can be deferred.

Police would like to remind the public that lodging a false Police report is a crime and Police would take stern actions against anyone giving false information to the Police.
