$650m to upgrade 71 primary schools

New facilities that will support educational approaches which encourage more interaction and self-discovery, and facilitate experiential and hands-on learning is what $650 million will provide 71 primary schools.

The upgrading will start in November 2013 the Ministry of Education announced on Thurday, May 17.

Pupils from these 71 schools can look forward to redesigned classrooms as well as facilities like band rooms and dance studios.

Schools among the 71 include Anglo-Chinese School (Junior), Catholic High School and Singapore Chinese Girls' Primary School.
