It was "raining" on board the carriage of an MRT train on the North-East Line on Wednesday morning.
Water was seen leaking from the ceiling, causing the seats and floor of the entire carriage to be wet.
Rail operator (SBS Transit) put out a statement later and said that there was an air-conditioning glitch.
Spokesperson Tammy Tan said: "There was water leakage on board one of our trains this morning due to an electronic failure in the air-conditioning control system."
Later that day, SBS confirmed that the fault had been rectified, and apologised to all commuters who had been inconvenienced.
