The fire started on the ceiling in a corner of the fourth-floor food court and it is believed that no one was in the area at the time. According to The New Paper, the affected area was the Toast Box outlet.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
A spokesman from the Singapore Civil Defence Force said that they received a call at 8.15pm, and sent four support vehicles, one fire engine, two Red Rhinos, and a fire bike to the scene.
The spokesman said that the fire was extinguished using 13 fire extinguishers, and a hose reel. It was brought under control in 10 minutes, added the spokesman.
