Couple involved in prostitution charged

A couple involved in procuring women for prostitution have been charged in court on Wednesday with vice offences, said a Straits Times report.

Chang Shi Chang, 29, and Wong Li Ya, 19, allegedly procured two women aged 24 and 20 years on Jan 20, 2010 and March 2010 respectively.

They face 19 and 13 charges respectively.

In addition to that, Chang is accused of six more charges of procuring women - who are all believed to be Singaporeans - at Bugis Junction, Suntec City, Loyang and Ang Mo Kio in 2010.

The duo allegedly lived of the earnings of nine prostitutes and are also accused of using a flat in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 and Gerald Park in Yio Chu Kang as a contact point for prostitutes.
