New Yishun-CTE road projects to reduce travel time

To improve the connectivity between Yishun Town, the new Seletar Aerospace Park and the expressway network, the LTA will expand the interchange connecting the Central Expressway (CTE), Tampines Expressway (TPE) and Seletar Expressway (SLE). As part of this expansion, four new flyovers will be constructed.

Five new road connections to improve connectivity between the expressway and road network will also be created. The road connections will be from Seletar West Link to CTE; CTE to Seletar West Link; Seletar West Link to Yio Chu Kang Road; Yio Chu Kang Road to Seletar West Link; and TPE (Westbound) to Seletar West Link.

Apart from expanding the interchange, the LTA will also construct a new road link between TPE and Yishun Avenue 6. To do so, the LTA will construct a new dual two-lane road between Yishun Avenue 6 and Yishun Avenue 1, remark a stretch of Yishun Avenue 1 from a dual one-lane road to a dual two-lane road and widen Seletar West Link from a dual one-lane road to dual three-lane road.

Construction for both projects is expected to start in the third quarter of this year.
