Players from Etoile FC aren't the only ones not getting their salaries.
Six former S-League players, who joined the Sembawang Soccer Academy (SSA) in December, are suffering a similar fate.
The players - Indra Sahdan Daud, Mohd Noor Ali, Fadhil Salim, Shariff Samat, Nor Azli Yusoff and Argentinian Carlos Delgado - have not received their salaries since signing a letter of agreement with the academy in December.
Former national captain Indra Sahdan said: "They said they had big plans for local football and wanted to build a team for the S-League... I thought this was a good opportunity but SSA never once paid us as promised."
At the time, the SSA had been hoping to join the S-League for the 2012 season. But it failed to get in.
Without his monthly salary of $5,000, Indra said he has had trouble settling his bills, adding that he has received a summons to attend court next month for failing to make his monthly child support payments.
Having turned down offers to play in the S-League this year in favour of the SSA, the 32-year-old admitted that he is now concerned about his future.
He said: "It's not just one month without salary. This has affected me for the whole year. All the clubs have settled their squads for the season already, where can I go now?"
