13-year-old boy survives fall from Simei condo

After falling 11 storeys, it would be lucky for anyone to survive.

A boy, 13, who was wearing his school uniform at that time, had fallen from his block at Simei Green condominium around 6pm yesterday evening.

While police are still investigating how he fell, it is reported that the boy suffered some broken bones. He was still conscious and was subsequently taken to Changi General Hospital. The metal shelter near the ground floor of the block had apparently cushioned the impact of his fall.

According to eye-witness accounts, screaming and crying was heard and then a loud thump. The teenager is believed to be living with his parents, grandparents and an older brother. He is also believed that he is a student from a boys' school in the east.
