Woman charged with stabbing man on New Year's day

A 29-year-old graphic designer was hauled to court on Tuesday for allegedly stabbing a man on the first day of the new year.

Teo Ming Min was charged with one count of voluntarily causing hurt to Kelly Ong Bi Hao after she allegedly stabbed him on his lower chest.

The incident took place on the morning of January 1, at a unit in a block at Bedok North Road.

Ong, who works as a operations coordinator, suffered a two-centimetre wound from the alleged attack.

Channel NewsAsia understands that the two are acquaintances and knew each other through a friend.
