Customers of SingTel 3G mobile services have been experiencing problems with the network in parts of Singapore.
Those affected since Tuesday night are mainly in the northern and western parts of Singapore, and faced disruptions with 3G voice, SMS and mobile internet services.
The telco blamed the problem on a hardware fault and replaced the faulty equipment.
However, customers complained on Wednesday morning that the service was still unstable.
SingTel explained that the problem was only for mobile internet, from 7.15am to 10.50am, and was due a problem with the software for the data network serving the western part of Singapore.
The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) said it will investigate the service outage under the Code of Practice for Telecommunication Service Resiliency and will act if needed.
SingTel said it will continue to monitor the network closely and work with vendors to ensure that services run smoothly.
It has advised customers to manually switch their phones to their 2G network if they continue to have problems with the 3G mobile network.
