Nearly 100 drug abusers, traffickers nabbed in island-wide raid

Eighty-five suspected drug abusers and 10 suspected drug traffickers were arrested by the Central Narcotics Bureau officers (CNB) over the past four days in various island-wide operations, which targeted street level demand and syndicated supply of drugs.

Drugs worth around S$204,000 in street value were seized. They included 1.3kg of heroin, 9g of 'Ice' and 14 Erimin-5 tablets.

Yesterday, CNB officers nabbed two male Singaporeans believed to have received an overseas consignment of heroin. About 1.1kg of heroin were recovered. Both face the death penalty if convicted of drug trafficking.
