Ministerial pay review committee submits report to PM Lee

The committee appointed to review ministerial salaries has submitted its report to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

The review, chaired by National Kidney Foundation chairman Mr Gerard Ee, was carried out by a committee of eight members since its announcement in May.

In September, Mr Ee announced that the committee had received over 500 email messages and letters from its public consultation exercise in June.

While it is not known when the report, which is currently being analysed by the government, will be released to the public, MPs from the People's Action Party expressed expectations that they will be briefed on the report on Jan 3.
