The American won Saturday's fight in his hometown of Washington on a controversial split decision.
Two judges gave Peterson the fight with scores of 113-112, but the other gave it to Khan 114-111.

However, Khan was docked two points by the referee for pushing, something the British fighter was furious about afterwards.

"I will definitely give him a rematch, why not?" he said. "He gave me a shot at his titles in the first place so I will give him a rematch, no problem."
