Despite the high number of drink driving arrests, some motorists are still trying their luck.
In a five-hour operation which started at the stroke of midnight on Saturday, 20 motorists were arrested, said the Traffic Police in a statement.
The highest breathalyser result from the offenders - who were between 20 and 52 years of age - clocked in at 86 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, almost twice the prescribed limit.
In total, 68 motorists were administered the test in this ring-fencing operation comprising road blocks set up along Keppel Road, Telok Blangah Road and Kampong Bahru Road.
