STOMPer related the incident:

"I am terribly upset with the staff at Plaza Singapura's Daiso outlet.

"Another lady and I became victims of a disgusting upskirt pervert at the outlet today at about 1pm.

"I was filmed by a fair Chinese guy, about 1.75 - 1.78m tall, from underneath my dress and I alerted the staff there.

"When we went over to him, he was found filming another lady from underneath and the staff were witnesses to this. However, none of them helped me stop this guy even though I had alerted them to it and they knew of the matter.

"I approached the guy alone and asked for his handphone. He shook my hand off his shoulder and ran away. NONE of the staff helped me to stop him, they just stood by watching.

"What was more upsetting was that when I called the police, some of the CCTV cameras in Daiso were found to be dummies. Therefore, there was no proof of him filming me and the other girl from beneath.

"I am absolutely disgusted by my fellow Singaporeans standing by watching me as I ran past a few shops and into the carpark, even though I shouted for people to catch him as I ran by. Nobody offered any help at all.

"I hope ladies will be more careful in future. I would also like to tell Singaporeans that they really should be more helpful.

"Also, with the dummy cameras in the Daiso outlet, I do not think it is safe for us to shop there as a crime might take place and offenders would simply get away with such unhelpful staff and lousy security."
