It is being staged as a lead-up event to the 2011 Singapore Formula One Night race later this month.

Almost everything is similar to the F1 race, from the venue, to using the Pit garages and even the idea of racing at night and the only difference is that the racing machines are smaller.

But the race is no less exciting as high speed karts are used in the race.

Professionals who held a demo event gave it a thumbs up.

There was also an endurance race for corporate teams with CEO's joining in the challenge to add to the fun.

400 people showed up and with the success of the debut event and there are plans to shift this event into higher gear for upcoming editions.

The organiser are hoping to up the ante and looking at the possibility of bringing in an actual F1 driver to race in a kart on this track for next year's event.
