In the course of the operation, Traffic Police administered the breathalyser test to 68 motorists. 20 motorists failed the test and were arrested for drink-driving.

Those arrested were aged between 20 and 52 years old. Out of these, 18 were men and 2 were women. The highest breathalyser result clocked was 86 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, nearly two times the prescribed legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

You should always designate a driver amongst your friends when out for drinks so that you will not drink and drive. This way, unnecessary accidents and loss of innocent lives can be prevented.
