For Polling Stations located under HDB void decks, the parking lots immediately fronting the Polling Stations will be closed to facilitate the polling activities. Holders of designated season parking lots that are affected should park at adjacent public car parks.

There will be special drop-off points at each Polling Stations for vehicles conveying sick, infirm or disabled persons. Drivers can approach the election officials or Police officers on duty for assistance and direction.

In addition, Connaught Drive (between Stamford Road and Fullerton Road ) will be closed to vehicular traffic from 27 August 2011 (Saturday) at 10pm to 28 August 2011 (Sunday) at 5am . During the road closure, only authorised vehicles displaying the approved label will be allowed to enter the above-mentioned road. Police officers will be deployed at the affected road junctions to assist motorists and regulate traffic.

Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking indiscriminately or causing obstruction will be towed away. We seek the public’s understanding and co-operation.

Police will be deployed at all Polling Stations and security checks on bags and large items brought into the Polling Stations will be conducted. Voters are advised not to bring along large bags to avoid any inconvenience which may be caused as a result of the checks.
