STOMPer R would like to express his heartfelt gratitude to the female SMRT cab driver who gave the STOMPer a free ride to the hospital to see his fiancée who was involved in an accident.

The STOMPer recounted:

"Last weekend, my POSB ATM card had been retained by the ATM machine and getting a replacement has been an unpleasant experience.

"I’m writing to inform you that good Samaritans can be around us at anytime and anywhere.

"Just yesterday evening (Apr 13), my fiancée was hit by an vehicle outside Ang Mo Kio MRT Station.

"I had just finished work and was in Jurong Point where we were meeting for dinner.

"Once I hear the news that my fiancée had been hit by a car and that the driver was sending her to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, I rushed to TTSH from Jurong Point in an SMRT red taxi.

"I hadn’t gotten my replacement ATM card and my wallet had less than 20 dollars in it, but the Indian female driver agreed to drive me to TTSH upon hearing my story.

"Upon reaching TTSH Accident & Emergency, she just handed me the receipt with her bank account number written on the back.

"I quickly left the cab as I was preoccupied with the condition of my fiancée.

"I truly forgot to thank the driver.

"I would like to take this chance to thank the SMRT red cab Indian female driver for agreeing to drive me to TTSH without hesitation even though I didn't have the enough cash to pay for the trip."
